today my spares are arrived from DRAGANFLY . I can begin the refection of the cylinder head. First step : grinding the valves seats to have a regular ports.That's done, second step, sandblasting
the cylinder head then cleaning (boring job) now it's good, i 've prepared all the masks for the paint, if no problem, tomorrow it will be good.

at last i 've received the spray cans of paint. i 've sandblasted the cylinder between two rain showers and then painted. i can't work on the cylinder head for the moment, i'm still waiting the valves springs, hope this week but.....

i was'nt totally satisfied with the beezer handlebar. firstly, it's chromed steel, which doesn't fit. Secondly, I'm not sure to have a good tightening with one screw, for a half handlebar. a few times ago i bought a pair of Biltwell risers with SUMO (VINTAGECHOP.COM), and until this day, i can't mount them on the yoke. at first, i haven't the good screws in stock (1/2 X 13) and the alloy spares builded in place of the genuine HD rubber bushings are drilled at 12 mm, so to mount the new screws, all the internal drills were wrong. now it's good for the risers, next step is the handlebar, Phil gave me a bit of stainless tube diameter 25mm to make it, in the same time i will try to build an internal throttle

i 've cleaned the spares and begun the polishing of the body. as i 've said in the last post, i'm not very experienced with this spare, i've taken advices with some friends more experienced than me and the result is : the best way to be sure is to send the item at a specialist. it does'nt seem too expensive but it's a mishap, one more time

it's the last unit that i must check and clean, welcome at jurassic park. it was time to open it, mushrooms was'nt far.otherwise the spares seems in good condition,i hope the body is still enough magnetic to have a good spark, i don't know how to control that. then i will have a look on the dynamo

i've dismantled the valves and rockers to check the spares. the exhaust guide is strange, there's two levels in the inner diameter, i've never see that before , everybody knows ? springs are dead(-4 mm under normal size) and must be changed too.

i'm not sure for the title, in fact i would like to thank all the followers who comment the job, help me, send me spares for free sometimes and as you can see send a lot of stickers. last update THE TINSLECAT and BLOOD FALCONS respectively from UK and USA . i've a good feeling with the UK(and theirs expats) and the USA. 20 years ago, when i've rebuilded my first brit bike, it was less easy than today,if you know what you want ,the web is a f****'n tool.thanks everybody

well, not a revolution today. i still not received the paint so i can't close the top engine. i've fit the gearbox and brackets to check the place for the brake switch between engine and box. logically it will be good,not easy but good. now i can also search a solution for the gearchange lever. then i must check and clean the magdyno.

we stay in the welding,Phil bought a new tig for the aluminium (fronius magic wave) , the name is already a joke for the sunday's welders like me. in fact he had a tig for sale at a good price so i bought it, it' s an ESAB 160 amp with the hf, what a revolution, my 15 years old SAF was a scratch model, no comment, especially with my hands. i don't touch a" modern" machine since a long time,it seems very smooth, at this time i've just made some tests but my welding masks are dead, in the same time,F**K , i'm waiting for a new, hope not too long, can't wait to really try the machine
today, no activity, i'm waiting for miscellaneous spares and gaskets to close the engine. so i would like to make a zoom about the welding.as someone knows, i've some medical problems with my hands and arms so sometimes i can't do what i want, when that's arrive i go to see my friend Phil from PHIL INOX DESIGN (see card) . great welder, look at the regularity, i know him since a long time and i'm always impressed by his work . he also does what you want for custom cars and hot rod. if you've a problem, Phil had the solution.

i've another cylinder so i paint it to have an idea. now i see that it's not the same, fins are more small than mine . it's a spray paint and not very resistant, anybody knows a good paint for iron ?
there's a lot of craps in paint so if she get back after 3 months , it does'nt matter to do it

here now the weather is sweet but it's raining, raining and raining again so i can't polish the timing case for the moment. i've checked and ordered the spares that i need for the engine, now i must wait. during this time i 've continued some other craps, a bronze ignition hd cover and a frame for the little shovel. logically the hd cover is for a big twin so in the pic , fins are verticals, cause it's a xl engine, but i think it looks good

cases again, drive side is finished, for a 55 years old case,i think it's not too bad, not perfect but that's enough for me.the timing side case is more hard ,there's nooks and crannies everywhere. in the same time i 've checked the oil pump, who seems in good conditions, gears are cleans and there's no marks in the body. i'm a little affraid by the small size of the pump
